红黄相间的尖顶伞帐代表着罗马天主教会的神权，为主座教堂所专用。伞柄纹章上的弯月是圣母玛丽亚神圣感孕的专有标志。纹章中间的城墙代表一个大城市（明尼阿波利斯）。而纹章底部的水纹代表着很多湖泊（明尼苏达州被称为“千湖之州”）和一条大河（密西西比河）。

把所有这些串连起来，这个尖顶伞帐代表着“千湖与密西西比河旁的明尼阿波利斯的罗马天主教会的圣母玛丽亚主座教堂”。

The red and yellow striped pavilion symbolizes the Roman Catholic Church, and can be used only by Basilicas. The crescent on the crest is a special symbol for the Immaculate Conception of Blessed Virgin Mary. The city wall symbol in the middle of the crest symbolizes a big city. And the water shape at bottom of the crest represents lakes (Minnesota is dubbed the “state of thousands of lakes”) and a river (the Mississippi River).

Putting all these together, this pavilion is read “the Roman Catholic Basilica of Saint Mary of Minneapolis next to a thousand lakes and the Mississippi River.”

圆顶运动场位于“双子城”中的明尼阿波利斯（另一城是明尼苏达州的首府圣保罗）的市中心附近。这里还是明尼苏达维京人队（NFL）、明尼苏达双城队（MLB）和明尼苏达金花鼠队（NCAA）等的主赛场。

Metrodome at downtown Minneapolis of the Twin Cities (the other is Saint Paul, the capital of the state of Minnesota) is the home ground for Minnesota Vikings (NFL), Minnesota Twins (MLB), and Minnesota Golden Gophers (NCAA).

Target Center at downtown Minneapolis of the Twin Cities is the home ground for Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA) and Minnesota Lynx (WNBA).
